Summitas was founded in 2007 by entrepreneurs who had spent their careers serving ultra-high-net-worth clients and building mission-critical software. They saw an industry that needed a better way to engage clients — and they built it.
The wealth management industry was built on relationships — but the technology hadn’t kept up. Client communications lived in email. Documents were scattered across shared drives. Financial reporting came from a different portal entirely. Nothing was unified, nothing was secure enough, and nothing reflected the premium experience these clients expected.
Summitas was created to solve that. Our founders, Howard Milstein (New York Private Bank & Trust, Nicklaus Companies, Golf Magazine), Stephen Martiros (CCC Alliance, Martiros Strategies), and Dan Gregerson (Intelligent Technologies, PeerLogic) brought together deep expertise in wealth management, family office stewardship, online financial services, information technology, distributed computing, and cybersecurity — and channeled it into a single platform purpose-built for this industry.
